Brian Gentile
President and CEO
Brian brings to JasperSoft a 22-year track record of success in helping to build and lead prominent technology companies’ product and go-to-market strategies. Most recently, Mr. Gentile was Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Informatica Corporation, the industry-leading data integration software company, where he helped the company grow consistently and substantially. Previously, Mr. Gentile served as executive vice president and chief marketing officer for Brio Software, a leading business intelligence software provider, where he was responsible for the company’s global market position and strategy, product marketing, corporate marketing and strategic partner relationships. Prior to Brio, as a Vice President at Sun Microsystems, Brian created Sun’s first-ever worldwide Developer Relations team and helped build the Sun and Java Developer Connection Programs, which reached over 2 million active members during his tenure. And prior to Sun, Brian led Apple’s Evangelism and Developer Relations team, enabling10,000 independent software vendors to work closely and successfully with Apple’s products and technologies.
Mr. Gentile’s professional affiliations include nearly seven years as a Public Governor on the board of the Pacific Stock & Options Exchange (now owned by the New York Stock Exchange) and he continues to serve as a public member of the NYSE’s Ethics and Business Conduct Committee. Additionally, Mr. Gentile has provided founding Board member assistance for several Silicon Valley start-up ventures and currently serves as a Supervisory Board member for WCC, a Netherlands-based searching and matching technology company. Mr. Gentile has earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Arizona |
Scott Bennion
Vice President, Finance
As Vice President of Finance, Scott Bennion oversees JasperSoft's finance and administration operations. Scott is a seasoned financial executive with over 15 years of experience supporting high growth domestic and international operations. Prior to joining JasperSoft, Scott served as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Intacct Corporation. Scott has also served in finance management roles at a number of companies in the software and telecoms sectors including Zone Labs, LGC Wireless, Nortel, and Platinum Technology. Scott holds a BS degree in Accounting and Economics and a Master of Accountancy degree from Weber State University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.

Nick Halsey
Vice President, Marketing
Nick joined JasperSoft as Vice President of Marketing from SpikeSource, where he helped launch the company as its vice president of sales and marketing. Prior to SpikeSource, Nick held several senior corporate development, sales and marketing positions at a number of leading technology companies, including Alphablox Corporation, Searchbutton Inc., and Apple Computer, Inc. Nick also spent six years at Brio Technology Inc. where he held a number of executive sales and marketing positions, growing the company from $1M to $150M in sales and from 15 to 500 employees.
Nick is on the boards of several Silicon Valley start-ups, including board of director positions at Biz360, Inc. and Pria Diagnostics, and the advisory board of Tableau Software. He earned an A.B. degree in political science with a minor in computer science from Stanford University. |
Michael Moody
Vice President, Engineering
As Vice President of Engineering, Mike is responsible for all aspects of product development, quality, and delivery. Most recently, Mike headed up CenterBoard’s engineering development, quality assurance and operations. He brings with him more than 24 years of experience in the software engineering field. Mike was vice president of engineering operations at Portal Software, responsible for all the company’s mainstream product and feature releases, overseeing performance engineering/benchmarking, program management, release engineering, quality assurance, documentation, and custom engineering for strategic accounts. Mike was senior director for value added software at Auspex Systems where he directed 45 software engineers in the development of Java-based system management tools. He has held management positions at Auspex Systems, Wyse Technology and General Electric. Mike has published papers on a number of technology subjects including real-time graphics systems, Intel CPU performance, and multiprocessing technology. He holds an M.S. in Applied Mathematics and a B.S. in Combined Science from the University of Santa Clara.

Jose Morales
Vice President, Business Development
As Vice President Business Development, Jose is responsible for business strategy, strategic partnerships and new ventures. Jose joined JasperSoft from VeriSign where he led global business development and international sales for the Intelligent Supply Chain Division. Jose joined VeriSign through the acquisition of R4 Global Solutions, an RFID systems integrator. At R4 Jose was Vice President of Business Development and Marketing. Prior to R4, Jose held various leadership positions in business development, sales, and marketing at Mercator, E.piphany, Niku, and PeopleSoft. Jose holds an MBA from Thunderbird, The American Graduate School of International Management, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Loyola Marymount University.

Don Wight
Vice President, Worldwide Field Operations
As Vice President Worldwide Field Operations, Don is responsible for building a world-class sales and professional and customer services organization and driving both channel and direct sales. Prior to joining JasperSoft, Don was vice president of sales at Open Harbor, a provider of global trade management solutions. During his tenure at Open Harbor, the company was awarded the "Fastest growing private company in the Silicon Valley" by the San Jose Business Journal. Previously, Don was VP of sales at Netcentives, where he ramped to $20 million in sales in less than one year. Prior to Netcentives, he was with The Dialog Corporation, where he led the company’s Northwest region. He has additionally held sales and management positions with broad success in industries spanning pharmaceuticals, medical, and consumer goods. Don received his B.A. in International Business from the University of California, Berkeley.

Founder and Architect JasperReports
Teodor Danciu is the founder and architect of the JasperReports library, the most popular open source reporting tool, and is now working for JasperSoft. Before joining JasperSoft, Teodor worked for almost 9 years with several French IT companies as a software engineer and team leader on ERP and other medium-to-large database-related enterprise applications using mainly Java technologies and the J2EE platform. |
