	Timco Aero We needed to replace Crystal Reports for an application we were porting from VB....JasperReports did the trick. After some frustration with existing report tools, I decided to wrap the packaged report viewer into jEdit and created the JasperJedit plugin you will find linked to under the community page. I have been very pleased with JasperReports and will look for other ways in the future to leverage the technology within our company. Its reporting power is unparalleled in the Java world!

	Allstream We are a Professional Services Company which provides consulting in the area of Business Intelligence and Performance Management. Using JasperReports we are planning to provide an easily maintainable reporting solution for our clients.
	GDCC JasperReports v0.6.3 was the reporting engine for SD Unicom BSS NM project with iReport v0.40 as the report designer. JasperReports helped us to save costs, to build the reporting system on schedule and to achieve runtime performance. So far, we have built more than 100 reports. The reporting process involved multiple kinds of RMDBMS Products and more than 50 tables and views. The fact that many good technologies can be integrated with JasperReports, like jFreeChart, iReport, OR, POI.is another advantage. I can't imagine what my project situation would be like if I didn't have JasperReports.
	Level-3 Communications Our J2EE application is a document tracking system. Within this application a user needs to have the ability to print document-based reports and tasking-based reports and subreports. JasperReports has provided a great package to get this accomplished for our customers. Soon we will be adding charting abilities, and based on some of the research I have done so far, I am pretty pleased with the way charts look in JasperReports.
	Prosilient Technologies AB Prosilient Technologies is a Swedish company developing products for monitoring assessments and supervision of QoS performance of IP networks. Our customers are service providers operators and enterprise IT departments as well as development labs. We successfully use JasperReports with iReport to enable PDF reports of QoS measurement results in our Java client application.
	UTStarcomm In our development team, we needed a report component that could meet the customer's requirement to view, paginate and print our data by accessing the database. Considering the data in the database is huge and formats change frequently, we determined that if we developed this component only by ourselves, it will be expensive and time intensive to manage all of the project details. Fortunately we found JasperReports and we accomplished our work in only in 1 week by 1 person. It is very good!

	The Great Pretenders I am in an oldies band and trying to maintain a song list with an Excel spreadsheet was not working so I wrote a Java / JSF application. When I needed some hard copy I searched and found JasperReports!! Being an independent Java developer, I needed a quick and inexpensive way to develop reports. I use iReport as the GUI front end for development. I was able to quickly develop reports to create song lists. I am amazed at the quality I can produce from an open source product!! 	Harland Financial Solutions We develop bank oriented financial management packages. We use JasperReports for all financial statements and analysis reporting. It saves us huge amounts of time dealing with the intricacies and frustrations of reporting. JasperReports is a great tool.
	Lukas Bank I work for one of the Polish Banks. This year we deployed new banking software and used JasperReports in our Intranet to report testing progress. Seven different reports were created and data is pulled from SCARAB issue system. Some of the reports were complicated, so we used jFreeChart together with JasperReports.
	PBAS We needed to place an AS/400 reporting system on the Web. Our only solution was to find something that was suitable both on the legacy and the Java side. We also wanted to spice up our old reports (AS/400 spool files) and add images and newer more updated fonts. We understood that we could write something ourselves, or even implement an IBM technology like InfoPrint server, but we found these paradigms cumbersome. 	Schonfeld Securities We used JasperReports to create reports of what our clients were doing. We designed the reports using iReport and set them up to run in a cron job every morning. Now the back office staff can log in to our intraWeb and download the reports that they need in PDF format every morning.

Government
	Steria As We have used JasperReports in an application for the Danish Custom & Taxes department. The application is a fat client based on the Java Webstart technology. Our JasperReports are designed with the JasperAssistant plugin and the JasperReports files are pre-generated and distributed with the application. To avoid the extra server hits the values for the reports are received from the GUI instead of the database and passed on as either JRBeanCollectionDataSource or JRTableModelDataSource. I find JasperReports to be a good tool that provides an excellent control of the layout.
	Wisconsin Dept of Justice For years, we have been trying to implement reporting, but to no avail. We thought to investigate open source reporting but didn't expect much. I quickly and easily came up with some demonstrations with JasperReports and the team was amazed. Now, at a very low cost, we are producing complex reports which were thought not possible. Our reports demand a flexible product which allows us to manipulate data and "craft" solutions – JasperSoft is this product. JasperReports has been a godsend. We are moving towards production right now.

	Nemesis IT This task involved our client Centurl Medical Matei Basarab and the MedLab project, a workflow management software solution designed to cover all aspects related to clinical tests: patient data, patient analysis requests, clinical results, analysis bulletin. The system uses a database for patient and analysis data and offers a Web interface for patient search, patient data display, analysis requests editing and printing, input of clinical tests results, and clinical tests price directory. Medlab uses JasperReports to generate all documents related to medical lab activities: tests orders, medical tests bulletins, detailed tests results bulletins.
	PT InodDev We are developing our report project using JasperReports to report all medical requirements of the Hospital. We are an open source company, and JasperReports has been very good at providing us with very sophisticated results. Thanks JasperSoft!!
	Siemens Molecular Imaging We needed to replace Oracle Reports with a solution that gave us similar functionality. We identified JasperReports and quickly had JasperReports up and running in our development environment. We utilized iReport to re-develop our reports, and ran the solution through a battery of tests. Seeing great results, we decided to plug JasperReports into our production environment. We eliminated the licensing costs of our previous solution as well as the licensing costs of the development tools and replaced it with a reliable and successful solution. It is the most stable component of our production environment making maintenance costs relatively null.
	Redvein My application works within an information system for blood banks in Armenia City in Colombia. JasperReports was very useful and easily generated statistics reports for the Levey-Jennings feature of our software in HTML format.
	US Veterinary Genetics Lab We provide reports of services performed to clients both large and small. JasperReports offers us the ability to customize our reports to exactly fit the needs of the client. We are using JasperReports to send results via email and to produce accounting reports and invoices using .PDF and .CSV output formats.

Manufacturing
	Molteni Informatica Our manufacturing management application permits real time gathering and control of production data, monitoring of job progress and verifying of actual times and quantity. All data of a job order are automatically transmitted from the ERP to the application. With JasperReports, the user can print the job order in which there is a list of barcodes, each one identifying a single task. After the operator has completed his job, all production data are collected into the database and are available for immediate or future analysis. All reports can be previewed, printed, saved in PDF format or exported in Excel format.
	Priefert Mfg We developed and deployed an in house replacement for Crystal Web Server. Since JasperReports does not currently support prompting itself, we added the code to create Web-forms on the fly. We also customized the HTML output to be Web friendly, removing page breaks and adjusting margins. We currently use approximately 50 reports, many with custom data sources. The same reports used on the Web server are integrated into our in-house MRP system. I have found JasperReports to be very clean, understandable, and reliable. I anticipate many more good things in the years to come.
	Thermal Design I recently replaced a custom in-house reporting solution with JasperReports. The switch has allowed me to delegate most of the report design (using iReport) to our graphic artists who have a better sense of visual design. In the past, changes to our reports were often delayed for weeks while I completed more important projects. I have begun re-designing our in-house CRM/SFA software and will be using JasperReports extensively in other aspects of our applications.

Printing
	PrintGate We use JasperReports for our print tracking application. The primary requirement was a tool that could get through tons of data and generate a PDF report that an administrator could download and view. We evaluated tools like Crystal Reports but rejected them because of high maintenance and management overhead. Fortunately, we found JasperReports and use it in both our ASP and our deployed local systems to generate reports in both PDF and Excel format ranging from simple 1 page single printer reports to monster assessments covering hundreds of printers with hundreds of print events per day.
	Vision Data Vision Data uses JasperReports as the main reporting engine in our J2EE application. Vision Data creates software for the newspaper industry (circulation, ad taking, etc.). JasperReports has not only been flexible and functional as the reporting engine but allows us to create dynamic indicia images for our mail labels. We were able to use JasperReports to create these images and save them in the database to be used in the reports (labels) or the client viewer. Vision Data's Java circulation product will be in production in the next year and will be using JasperReports as the main reporting engine.

	Walgreens Our JasperReports application allows all company users to search for stores and display them in HTML, PDF, or Excel formats. This is very useful because various departments have different needs and some will find the PDF and Excel formats very useful.

	Adeptia We required a reporting API which had capabilities within our BPM Server to help organizations analyze patterns and trends as well as review histories. The overall design of JasperReports caught our attention. The ease with which we could create design templates was impressive and the assistance of iReport made designing both simple and fun. JasperReports made it easy to display data and to present it intelligently. With JasperReports, our BPM server users can now get detailed drilled-down reports of a process flow, as well as the summary of the process within the same report to understand complete status of a particular Process Workflow.
	AFPS EG We use JasperReports for two main purposes. The first is to print documents from our ERP-System which runs on JBoss with J2EE-Architecture. The templates and the compilation are stored in a relational database and can be loaded/duplicated/changed/saved by the open-source-designer iReport via our plug-in. The second purpose is a QueryTool, which displays the tables of the database and shows the relations between. This Query-Tool generates the SQL-Query and a new JasperReports Template by API that is filled right afterwards and returns the JasperPrint-Object. The query and the ad-hoc designed JRXML can be stored local or in database and is reusable from the ERP-System.
	Alicubi At Alicubi.net, an new Italian software company we are using JasperReports in our latest product to build very excellent reports, which are really easy to maintain and to use, especially using the Eclipse plug-in. Thank you very much.
	Apexon We needed a way to create a report that would print in PDF and Excel format. We saw that IText and POI would take us to that route, but learning that would have been a hassle. 	Cognizant We needed to provide a low-cost flexible reporting solution to our client which was to form part of a large data collection product. In our reporting search, JasperReports stood out in terms of performance, ease of development, easy-to-understand code and obviously, cost. With our architecture queries/ procedures fetch data, massage the data in middle tier (JBoss AS), and create a JasperReports DataSource which is sent to the client. Our client is an applet where JasperReports will render the report. The product went into production with more than 50K hits per day and with more than 150 concurrent users. 	GUS AS GmbH For our new Java ERP system we needed to print various reports and labels from a host running on the main server (Windows, Linux, iSeries…), but to print at any location without incurring heavy network traffic. Our solution was to create small data files on the server and use JasperReports to merge the data with the template on the print clients. This has worked perfectly, with no problems. JasperReports has proved to be extremely robust and bug-free and is a tribute to the skill and quality of its creator.
	Ideais In working on a project for a client, I needed to create reports to control the quality and acceptance of the software that was being developed. My first approach was to parse all data and generate a xml, which was parsed by a xsl and xsl-fo to generate a pdf. That was a lot of work and not efficient. Then I found JasperReports, which was just what I needed. I threw my source code away and began using JasperReports to generate all my reports. JasperReports made the entire project possible, made my life easier and made programming a lot more fun.
	Metavante We built a large internal application that contains over 90 tables which produce a dozen different detailed reports – most near 100 pages that include graphics uploaded into the Web application. With JasperReports (along with some custom extensions to JasperReports and great help from JasperAssistant) we have a best-of-class production application producing extremely detailed Acrobat reports. Other reports export in XLS XML and CSV formats for use in other software/systems. JasperReports is very nice.
	Mugi Rekso Abadi PT I have built over 50 reports using JasperReports. I use iReport for Visual Editing, but also create reports by generating the code, for on the fly report generation. I publish reports as Servlet /Applet or PDF format. Some examples of my reports include a report module for CRM Application for a Business Unit, around 15 reports (Web application), a report module for HRMS Application for a Business Unit, around 20 reports (Web application), and a report Module for Attendee Applications for internal use, around 10 reports (Web application) .

	Symbiolinx We created a Stats Module and wanted to develop the module in Java. In looking for a reporting tool, a team member suggested we use Crystal Reports but our past experience prompted us to look at Open Source. We searched for a reporting tool and found JasperSoft. We figured that there would be some learning curve, but within a month, we had a beta release, and were just delighted. JasperReports offers exactly all the things that we are looking from a reporting tool. All and all it was great experience that we hope will continue into the future.

Systems Integration
	CMC Software This project involves a document searching and archiving system designed for building an informative store for enterprises, administrative offices, government offices, legal informative systems. The managed objects of our project are documents divided into many types depending on natures, keywords and contents. Our project was built on J2EE architecture and Open Source software and we used JasperReports to improve reporting features. We created a new face for the report module which was very flexible and available for editing an existing report or making new reports.
	Cybage We are using JasperReports in a Web-based application. Initially we used “export to HTML” form of JasperReports in our application. Then we decided to use exported xml in the application. We apply our own XSL on this exported JasperReports in order to have better control over final output. We are using JasperPrint object heavily to optimize processing time. We have achieved whatever is required for any Web-based application. Thanks to the JasperSoft community and to Teodor for providing the best guidelines for our required needs.
	SWD Factory We have used JasperReports as the main reporting tool in many of our projects. One such project is the information system of Riga International Bus Station, where it is used as the main reporting tool for getting information about tickets sold. Travel
	NLG We use JasperReports for ad-hoc and scheduled reporting for our online Vacation Packaging application. We initially deployed more than 20 reports and subreports consisting of both date range summary and detail reporting and are constantly adding more. A highlight is a management dashboard report featuring 8 JFreeChart reports which summarize our business activity. Our enterprise is moving to Open Source software and JasperReports was one of the final pieces in the puzzle. We had a very easy time learning how to use JasperReports as well as training both experienced and novice report developers to create and deploy reports.
