Connexys
Connexys is a 13 year old recruitment software provider focusing primarily on the Dutch market but growing its geographical reach along with its customers. The Rotterdam headquartered organization provides solutions for every aspect of recruitment from initiating a vacancy to hiring. The founders of Connexys, Jan van Goch and Gijs van Heijst had their own recruitment and selection agency and based on that experience, they realized that the recruitment process could be made more efficient. They envisaged a database in which all information about candidates and job vacancies could be stored. With the emergence of the Internet, Connexys launched the first digital recruitment system which appeared on the market in 1999.
Geotax
Founded in 1995, GeoTax BV is a privately held software and services company specializing in Dutch tax law and land registry. At its inception, the company responded to a new tax law that demanded that each municipality had to review and appraise its real estate by developing a model for this appraisal system. This is then used to calculate the economic value of real estate.
Knox County Government
In the Great American Community, there are strong public institutions. The Knox County library and health systems are top in the state. A Knox County librarian was recognized as librarian of the year by the New York Times. The health department is held out as a model for similar programs across the state. The high school students achieve scores on ACT tests that are higher than both the state and national averages. Knox County has 55,000 students in the public school system, and another 35,000 in local colleges and at UT. Recently, Knox County instituted a privately funded program called KnoxAchieves to ensure that County high school graduates can go to local community colleges tuition free.
Marine Corps
In September 1941, Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune became the home of “Expeditionary Forces in Readiness.” In the years since, it has become home base to other expeditionary forces, support commands, logistics groups, and combat units. The mission of the base remains to maintain combat-ready units for expeditionary deployment. To help prepare war fighters for combat and humanitarian missions abroad, Camp Lejeune takes advantage of 156,000 acres, 11 miles of beach, 34 gun positions, 50 tactical landing zones, and 3 state-of-the-art training facilities. The base and surrounding community is home to nearly 150,000 people and generates $3 billion in commerce each year. Base services include childcare, education, shopping, and more.
Province of British Colombia - Registry Systems
The BC Registry Services facilitate and support commerce in the province by providing the mechanism to register and deliver information in a cost-effective manner, including: the Corporate Registry - creates and registers business and not-for-profit entities, the Personal Property Registry - registers and secures personal property interests, the Manufactured Home Registry - registers ownership and location of manufactured homes; and the OneStop Business Registry - a public agency partnership offering integrated business registration, liquor licence renewal and business address change services based on the business number. It is the vision of the Registries that all information can be submitted or retrieved electronically by their customers from any location, at any time.
