Brian Gentile brings a successful, 27-year technology track record to Jaspersoft, helping it to become the open source business intelligence market leader, measured by commercial size and growth, production deployments of its software, the size and vibrancy of its community, and product downloads. Brian joined Jaspersoft as its first independent Board member in 2005 and then as CEO in 2007. Prior to Jaspersoft, Brian was Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Informatica Corporation, the industry-leading data integration software company, where he helped the company grow consistently and substantially. Previously, Brian served as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Brio Software, a leading business intelligence software provider that was acquired by Hyperion. Prior to Brio, as a Vice President at Sun Microsystems, Brian created Sun’s first-ever worldwide Developer Relations team and helped build the Sun and Java Developer Connection Programs, which reached over 2 million active members during his tenure. And prior to Sun, Brian led Apple’s Evangelism and Developer Relations team, enabling 10,000 independent software vendors to work closely and successfully with Apple’s products and technologies.
As Chief Marketing Officer, Jim is responsible for all aspects of Jaspersoft’s global marketing efforts, including community growth, customer acquisition, and new market expansion. He leads Jaspersoft’s corporate marketing, demand generation, product marketing, and product management functions, bringing more than 20 years of experience leading growth in technology companies.
Prior to Jaspersoft, Jim was Vice President of Marketing at SmartTurn, a SaaS inventory and warehouse management software company acquired by Red Prairie. He also served as vice president at Electric Cloud and Actuate Corporation. Earlier in his career, Jim held product management and marketing leadership roles at companies including Vantive, MS2 (both now part of Oracle Corporation), Silicon Graphics and Hewlett-Packard. Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
As Senior Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations, Clive is responsible for developing and growing a world-class sales, channel, and services organization. Harrison's team is responsible for the end-to-end customer experience, from first engagement through deployment, and ongoing training and support.
Clive has a distinguished career building and leading worldwide sales and services organizations. After early experience in sales leadership at Pilot Software, Information Resources, and Oracle, Clive joined Informatica. During nearly ten years at Informatica, Clive grew sales revenues from zero to more than $250M by building a strong global sales force, with direct and indirect channels, supported by field services. Additionally, Clive spent three years as the head of Sales for Exeros, through its acquisition by IBM. Prior to joining Jaspersoft, Clive spent three years at a local non-profit organization in Oakland, CA, YouthUprising, helping disadvantaged youth gain job skills and finding employment.
Clive holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Managerial Sciences from Aston University in the United Kingdom.
Jim Johnson is responsible for all internal accounting and financial controls, legal and administrative matters, and IT operations at Jaspersoft. He also helps guide the company’s strategic and operating plan, ensuring the company can continue to grow quickly and improve financial performance.
Prior to Jaspersoft, Jim served as the Chief Financial Officer of MSC Software, where he has spent the past two years helping to restore this privately-held software company to profitability. Jim also served as the CFO of VGH, an Elevation Partners-owned company that sold to Electronic Arts in 2008. Jim's resume includes senior level Finance positions at Veritas (which merged with Symantec in 2005) and Sun Microsystems, where he built a 15-year career in increasingly-senior Finance positions during its enormous growth phases. After serving in the U.S. Navy, Jim earned a BA degree from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Joseph Rozenfeld is the Senior Vice President of Engineering at Jaspersoft, where he is responsible for all aspects of product development and architecture. Joseph is a seasoned high-tech executive with more than 20 years of experience in software, with both start-up and established companies.
Prior to Jaspersoft, Joseph was CTO and Founder of Skytide (acquired by Citrix - Nasdaq:CTXS), a venture-backed BI and analytical applications vendor that pioneered a "big data" solution for digital media performance management. He was also EVP of Products and CTO of Chaincast, a venture-funded company (acquired by OpticFusion) where he pioneered the first commercial grade p-to-p broadcast streaming network adopted by major media companies and telcos. Prior to Chaincast Joseph held senior engineering management roles at Media Guarantee, a venture-backed media asset management software company, and Cinebase (acquired by Corbis), a multimedia database software company. Earlier in his career, he was a founding engineer, architect and engineering manager of Arbor Software, the creator of the first successful commercial OLAP product, now part of Oracle.
Joseph holds MS in computer science and BS in applied mathematics from Moscow Polytechnic University. Joseph is also an advisor to Amplified Analytics, his prior advisory roles include technical advisory board of Acta Technology (acquired by Business Objects), Exeros (acquired by IBM) and Metricom.
Karl Van den Bergh is the Senior Vice President, Product and Customer Success at Jaspersoft, where he is responsible for product strategy, product management and customer success. He is also responsible for the company's Cloud business. Karl is a seasoned high-tech executive with 18 years experience in software, hardware, open source and SaaS businesses, both startup and established.
Prior to Jaspersoft, Karl was the Vice President of Marketing and Alliances at Kickfire (now part of Teradata), a venture-funded data warehouse appliance startup. He also spent seven years at Business Objects (now part of SAP), where he held progressively senior leadership positions in product marketing, product management, corporate development and strategy – ultimately becoming the General Manager of the Information-On-Demand business. Earlier in his career, he was responsible for EMEA marketing at ASG, one of the world’s largest privately-held software companies. Karl started his career as a software engineer.
Karl holds a Masters degree in Computer Science, with Distinction, from Imperial College London and a Bachelors degree in Physics from Trinity College Dublin. He has lived and worked in many countries in Europe and in the US and is fluent in three languages.
Teodor Danciu is the founder and architect of the JasperReports library, the most popular open source reporting tool, and is now working for Jaspersoft. Before joining Jaspersoft, Teodor worked for almost 9 years with several French IT companies as a software engineer and team leader on ERP and other medium-to-large database-related enterprise applications using mainly Java technologies and the J2EE platform. Teodor has a degree in computer science from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest.
Giulio Toffoli is a Senior Software Engineer at Jaspersoft, where he serves as the iReport project leader. He has been developing Java applications since 1999 and founded the iReport project in 2001. During this time, Giulio has enjoyed designing complex software architectures and implementing custom software solutions with a focus on desktop and multitiered, web-based, client-server applications using Java (J2EE/JEE) and open source technologies. Giulio has a degree in computer science from the University of Bologna and currently resides in Italy.
