TDWI World Conference, BOSTON, Mass.- May 15, 2007 — JasperSoft Corporation, the market leader in open source business intelligence (BI), today announced the general availability of JasperSoft Business Intelligence Suite version 2, a significant product line expansion that makes the benefits of BI more accessible to more users than ever before. The suite offers a full range of BI capabilities including production reporting, interactive reporting, data analysis, and data integration, which make BI easily accessible to anyone within an organization through a web browser.

The new product suite is made possible by JasperForge.org, the world’s largest open source BI community with more than 30,000 registered developers and 150 BI projects. The Professional Edition builds on this strong open source base and offers business customers commercial licenses, advanced support levels, indemnification, advanced features, and an expanded set of supported application server, database, and operating system platforms.

JasperSoft Business Intelligence Suite Version 2 adds four new products: JasperETL Professional Edition, JasperReports Professional Edition, JasperReports Developer Edition, and JasperStudio Professional Edition.

Products in the JasperSoft Business Intelligence Suite are available individually or as an integrated suite that uses common metadata and shared security, repository, and scheduling services. The Professional Edition also adds web-based ad-hoc reporting and ease-of-use improvements using web 2.0 AJAX drag-and-drop technology, making it even easier to quickly create advanced interactive reports with drop-down parameter menus, cross-tabs, and sorting.

The JasperSoft Business Intelligence Suite Professional Edition includes the new JasperETL Professional product that gives people the ability to integrate data from multiple sources into operational data stores, data marts, or data warehouses for reporting and analysis. The Professional Edition, powered by Talend, provides a new multi-user repository and the ability to automatically create Perl or Java data ETL jobs.

The complete JasperSoft Business Intelligence Suite Professional Edition consists of:

• JasperAnalysis Professional — Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) server to perform rapid analysis of large volumes of data; and
• JasperETL Professional — commercial version of the high-performance open source data integration (ETL) product designed to create and update operational data stores, data marts, and data warehouses.

Key new features in Version 2 of the JasperSoft Business Intelligence Suite Professional Edition include:

• Web-based ad hoc reporting for non-SQL data sources;
• Web-based interactive WSYWIG ad hoc crosstab (matrix) reporting;
• Web-based interactive ad hoc report filtering and parameterization using drop-down menus, radio buttons, and checkboxes;
• Web-based interactive sorting of ad hoc tabular reports;
• JasperAnalysis workbench – a tool to manage OLAP metadata and databases for JasperAnalysis, including a graphical OLAP schema builder;
• Graphical MDX query builder for JasperAnalysis;
• Scalability improvements for JasperAnalysis;
• The ability to save personalized snapshots of reporting and analysis views;
• Full localization in French, German, Italian, and Japanese;
• Support for additional operating systems: Fedora Enterprise Linux, Mac OS X, Debian Linux, Windows 2000, Windows Vista, Solaris, HP-UX, and rPath Linux;
• Support for additional repository databases: PostgreSQL, EnterpriseDB, Microsoft SQL Server 2005, and Ingres (note: any JDBC 2.0 compliant database can be used as a data source);
• JasperServer Ultimate Guide and JasperAnalysis Ultimate Guide with more how-to’s, tips and tricks, and advanced information; and
• Shared multi-developer repository for JasperETL Professional.

Availability and Licensing
All products are immediately available directly from JasperSoft and through authorized resellers. JasperSoft Business Intelligence Suite Professional Edition is licensed on a per CPU basis. JasperReports Developer Edition is licensed on a per developer basis. Licensing is also available for independent software vendors (ISVs) who want to embed JasperSoft products.
