Making informed decisions based on facts is increasingly important for both small and large organizations, and the Jaspersoft Enterprise Edition helps deliver advanced BI capabilities previously only available from traditional BI providers and at a much higher investment level. The Jaspersoft Enterprise Edition is a customized package designed for organizations that need advanced and highly scalable features, such as data integration, relational OLAP services, audit logging and multi-tenancy capabilities.
Jaspersoft now offers three product editions, including Community, Professional and Enterprise.
“The trend is clear: large-scale, sophisticated BI deployments are no longer limited to large organizations. Customers of all sizes are faced with substantial reporting and analysis challenges but have been traditionally constrained by budget,” said Brian Gentile, CEO of Jaspersoft. “Jaspersoft 3.7 and our new Enterprise Edition address the needs of these customers with our most robust release to date.”
“Jaspersoft’s feature-rich technology provides us with a cost-effective, high value BI solution for major projects,” said Jeremy Walters, Head of Systems Development at Virgin Money Group. “Jaspersoft can support thousands of users and its advanced features set it apart from alternative vendors in addressing the needs of dynamic organizations. It’s all standards-based and we were able to apply the skills we had developed elsewhere. It was very easy for us to absorb the Jaspersoft technology into our system architecture.”
Historically, enterprise BI environments with large and distributed data stores were a problem for just a small segment of the overall BI market. But today, CIOs and IT managers at organizations of all sizes must effectively capture and analyze the explosion of data taking place in the modern enterprise. The new economics of IT, the mainstream adoption of open source software, the proliferation of Software as a Service (SaaS), and the emergence of cloud computing all lead to a requirement for the type of simple, powerful reporting and analytics delivered in Jaspersoft 3.7 and Jaspersoft Enterprise Edition.
Specific new capabilities in Jaspersoft 3.7 include:
- Customers will find answers faster with new interactive functions in Jaspersoft's integrated in-memory analysis, letting users slice, pivot, filter, drill into, and visualize their data;
- Users will be able to quickly find reports with the new search-powered report repository;
- Business users can interact with advanced Flash-based graphs, maps and widgets, which make reports, dashboards, and applications even more powerful;
- Administrators gain greater manageability, control, and visibility into the Jaspersoft BI platform through a complete audit log which chronicles many aspects of report usage, and provides tuning features to optimize in-memory analysis processing; and,
- Customers can dynamically design web-based, ad hoc reports, refining filters, modifying dimensions and visualization techniques on the fly.
"Jaspersoft has added some good enterprise-level features to its 3.7 release, particularly improved scalability, in-memory analysis and audit logging," said Alys Woodward, Program Manager for European Business Analytics at IDC. "In addition, the power of the downloadable model is to give organizations the ability to try BI before they buy. This significantly reduces the risk of ending up with expensive shelf-ware."
Jaspersoft 3.7 also includes certified support for several analytic databases optimized for data warehousing, and support for an enterprise-class federated data services platform for multiple heterogeneous data source environments.
“Any enterprise retail solution should have an integrated, best-in-class reporting framework. The Jaspersoft solution provides that framework for the Retail.net solution: web-based reporting via our portal, the iReport designer, plus ad hoc query and integrated analytics. With Jaspersoft, we can deliver against all the requirements for even our largest customers, who are the world’s most sophisticated retailers, such as Ratner Companies,” said Virgil Fernandez, vice president and CTO, Tomax.
