Course Description:

Jaspersoft offers a 4-day training program which provides a guided introduction and hands-on learning for Jaspersoft Business Intelligence Suite. This is an instructor-led course with lectures and hands-on exercises which cover:

• iReport
• JasperReports
• JasperServer
• JasperAnlaysis
• JasperETL

This course enables software developers to fully utilize the Jaspersoft BI Suite for integration into Java applications. The course includes detailed use-cases that illustrate advanced reporting and analysis features available through the BI suite, using hands-on lab environments.

Students are put into the role of a Java Developer/Report Developer/IT administrator for a fictitious company with scenario-driven reporting and business analysis. Throughout the course, students will create solutions for specific business requirements using Jaspersoft technology.

Course Objectives:

• Set up the environment (iReport, JasperServer, JasperReport code in the eclipse IDE)
• Build a reporting dashboard including reporting elements such as charts, images, sub-reports and crosstabs
• Work with JasperReports data sources in iReport and JasperServer
• Design and test reports in iReport
• Learn how to host and maintain reports on JasperServer
• Set up and customize ad hoc reporting in JasperServer
• JasperServer management (security and scheduling)
• Create business analysis tools using JasperAnalysis
• Customize the look and feel of JasperServer
• Integrate JasperServer with third party applications using Web services and HTTP
• Develop data extract, transfer and load scripts to build a datamart

Course Agenda:

The itinerary will include 3 days of structured training followed by half-day for questions and review.

This is a hands-on training program designed to get developers up-and-running quickly with Jaspersoft technology. Upon completion, participants will also receive documentation as well as a list of recommended reading materials to further their understanding of Jaspersoft products and related technologies.

This course is conducted onsite at your facility. Training is also offered at the Jaspersoft headquarters in San Francisco, CA or Dublin, Ireland.
