WJ Bradley

W.J. Bradley Mortgage Capital Corp. is a privately held independent mortgage lending firm, founded in 2003. It has a forward-thinking team, committed to helping clients obtain real estate financing tailored to their personal needs and goals. It understands that every customer has a unique set of needs and expectations. It takes the time to understand the client’s short- and long-term financial goals and determine the best loan product for the particular situation. It also believes it is critical to educate the customer throughout the loan transaction, empowering them and helping them to feel comfortable with their home financing decision.

Challenge

Ultimately, the company intends to drive information to desktops with dashboarding, web-accessible operational reports and, for key users, analytics.Data, however, is spread across multiple, in-house operational systems and hostedsolutions including NetSuite—and budgets for Business Intelligence (BI) were limited.

Solution

WJ Bradley evaluated open source Business Intelligence solutions and selected Jaspersoft. In mid-2009,the company invested in Jaspersoft training, then began creating operational reports on an experimental, ad hoc basis.

Results

Using iReport and JasperServer to define, deploy and maintain reports has enabled the company to efficiently meet an important information need—insight into how the company is performing. Executive team members are able to make betterinformed decisions and plans. Just as importantly, the executive reporting suite has served as an important test case for WJ Bradley. The company now has enabling tools and processes in place to be able to extend actionable information to other key areas of its workforce.

Customer Quotes

Low cost was a big factor in choosing Jaspersoft. Additionally, we believe the training is highly valuable, and taking advantage of it has given us a good foundation on how to use the tools.
