Join Jaspersoft for a deep-dive session into the world of Input Controls. These interactive elements  bridge the gap between static data and insightful discovery. During this session, we will explore how to design these controls using Jaspersoft Studio and  deploy them to JasperReports Server to create a more polished and professional user experience.

We will walk you through how to: 

  • Understand the relationship between report parameters in Jaspersoft Studio and input controls in JasperReports Server

  • Build dynamic filtering with queries that update in real-time, so users only see relevant filter options

  • Cascading input controls to master the art of "Parent-Child" filters reducing user error and streamlining navigation

  • Design with the right layout and logic in mind for advanced configurations, including mandatory vs. optional inputs, hidden parameters, and using specific data types

  • Use expressions to set validation and default values to confirm data integrity before a report run

  • Manage the placement of input controls and implement with the server-side UI customization options.
